Yes? It was about a month ago?
Not everyone seems to want us to succeed? Because information is power? Because they're dicks? I have no idea. We can talk more when we meet.

That's heaps good. People ask about the singing and dancing a lot, I take it?
( There's a bit of a pause, as Sarissa looks down at herself, hoisting up her shirt to look at her abdomen. She's not sure if that was a backhanded compliment, or an actual compliment. )
I mean
your physique can be whatever you want it to be, so long as you're healthy and happy, right?
like if you wanted to be ripped or whatever and you're just aren't because people have told you that wouldn't suit you or whatever, they can get fucked

[Waiting in front of Midge's door is a giftbasket. There's four bottles of wine (three red, one white), a bottle of whiskey, and two packs of cigarettes and lighter. Oh, and a small notecard that simply reads: R.L.]
Miriam. Miriam pick up. Miriam.
( She's already talking into the phone when - if - Midge answers, because girl drunk. )

Mrs. Miriam Maisel, this is Sarissa Eunike Noelene Theron. Should've changed it to Karahalios when I was eighteen but I didn't... fuckin' think about it, so.
( Eunike is Ev-nee-ki - or listen to this handy guide - funny, that she pronounces one of those names and lets the Greek accent of her grandmother roll out strong, and then all but whiplashes with the broad, deeply Australian way she says the other. )
But you're Missus Maisel. Although, you know m-r-s was also short for like, Mistress. Like Mistress of the house, I guess. Missstress Maisel.

I've decided to give you one of the droids. I will show you how to properly use and maintain it when it's finished.
It should be done by the end of this month at the latest.

'Cause you kept fuckin' writing it everywhere. Bloody branding, you're on it.
( Sarissa laughs quietly. ) Yeah, I'm heaps good. Perfection.
( A moment of pause. ) Uh, for the second part, I dunno. A path. It's comfortable as.

No, it can't do dishes. It's not a service droid.
You don't have to feed it but you do have to recharge it. Droids don't need rest but you can power it down.
Droids are mechanical machines and are very common where I am from. They are programmed to do a wide variety of tasks and have many uses. MSE droids are very simple droids by design and have very limited uses, especially with what I have available here.

Nah. You're all classy and shit. I'm— ( The pause is definitely verging on a drunken slur, as she tries to string together a sentence. ) I'ma rough-as-guts rural. Not your best bet for girl talk, eh?
( She still sounds cheery, but as she's lying down on the ground, Sarissa's just staring up into the sky, and her expression becomes etched with unhappiness. She's not the best bet for most things. Wasn't even doing so good at being dead.
Still, she injects cheeriness into her voice as she goes on. )
What's Mr. Maisel like?

I'm not sure actually. I've had two of these droids that I've programmed for my own personal use but they are widely used on the larger ships and bases.
I'm an engineer. I normally on weapons and defense systems but I do other projects as well.

( Sarissa chuckles quietly at that, though it dies out with the talk of divorce. )
Shit. I'm sorry. ( She asked what he was like, and Midge used the "great" in there as an adjective which paints him in a better light than just mentioning the divorce would. Wasn't Midge from the fifties? Wasn't it a big fucking deal? It throws her off enough that she doesn't immediately press, and she doesn't swing into unhelpfulness, either.
Instead she gives a pretty reasonably description of where she is - and wherever it is isn't too far from Miriam's place, as it turns out. )
Why did you use that as your stage name if you're getting a divorce? Or was comedy from before the divorce started?

I am and I appreciate the sentiment.
I merely do my duty and hope I can make a difference.

Events? Not really, there really isn't the time or opportunity since we're fighting a war.
There is recreational time for enlisted troops and officers, however.
